
Mark A. Iacobelli, DDS, FAGD, graduated from Case Western University School of Dentistry in 1982. Since then, he has acquired and maintained his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry by completing numerous hours of continuing education. This continuing education has been highlighted by completing multi-year post-graduate programs in orthodontics (braces), neuromuscular and TMD treatments for jaw and head pain, esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration and a one-year program on conscious sedation (intravenous anxiety control) with Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has been recognized by The Straight Wire Orthodontic Studies Organization for his commitment to continuing education for orthodontics, TMD treatment and neuromuscular dentistry.
In private practice since June 1982, Dr. Mark regularly attends seminars to keep current in many other areas of more traditional dentistry to complement these core programs already completed. He often gives non-dental public lectures on TMD, orthodontic, implants and esthetic dentistry. He travels nationally & internationally to give professional lectures with an emphasis on implants, conscious sedation, Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction and practice management.
To stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry, Dr. Mark is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, American Association of Functional Orthodontics, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, International College of Dentists, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics and the Academy of Reconstructive and Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, in the Midwest Implant Institute and in the prestigious International College of Dentists.
We are also proud to announce the induction of Dr. Mark as president of the Midwest Implant Institute for the 2007-2008 sessions. In addition to handling the MII presidential responsibilities and lecturing, Dr. Mark participated in a live broadcast of a complex implant surgery that was broadcast to hundreds of dental professionals at the annual MII symposium in February 2008. He is passionate about the field of implant dentistry and is committed to expanding the knowledge of professionals and lay people alike in this area.
On a personal note, Dr. Mark, his wife Linda and 3 sons (Tony, Vince & little Mathew) live and are very active in the community of Brecksville, Ohio. When away from the office, Dr. Mark coaches baseball and participates with theSt. Basil the Great Honduran Mission Team. During a mission trip to San Francisco de la Paz, Dr. Mark attended to 200 patients over the course of 10 days and performed routine exams, cleanings and putting in fillings or performing extractions, if necessary. Dr. Mark and his entire family are also avid sports fans and enjoy any sport associated with his Alma matters (Padua, Ohio State, Case Western) or the hometown teams of Cleveland.
