About Our Doctor
Stephen L. Sala, DMD, FAGD attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his D.M.D. degree in 2011. He then chose to pursue an additional year of formal training and completed a general practice residency program at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Sala spends much of his free time pursuing continuing education so that he can provide the highest level of care to his patients. In recognition of his dedication to continuing education, Dr. Sala received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This is a designation earned by only 6 percent of general dentists, and he is well on his way in working towards his Mastership (MAGD) which requires at least 1,100 hours of approved continuing education.
The focus of his post-graduate studies encompasses many facets of dentistry with an emphasis on the following: cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, orthodontics and IV conscious sedation (intravenous anxiety control) which also includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Dr. Sala is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and he has lived in Cleveland, OH since 2011. He and his wife, Alma, reside in Moreland Hills. Together they enjoy raising their two daughters, pursuing a healthy lifestyle, cooking at home and spending time with family in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh. And yes, Dr. Sala is a Steelers fan, but the Tribe and Cavs are alright too.
