Maintain Gum Health with Periodontal Treatment Services
Maintaining healthy gums is equally as important as keeping your teeth free of cavities. If you are at risk for gum disease or have been diagnosed with periodontal disease, Dr. Mark Iacobelli and Dr. Stephen Sala may recommend advanced periodontal treatment procedures as part of your dental treatment plan. We offer receding gums treatment, gum and bone graft procedures, and periodontal maintenance services.
What is a dental bone graft
“I needed extensive dental work, including oral surgery and periodontal work, to restore my teeth and gums to a healthy state. All of this was done with the gentleness and kindness Dr. Mark provides, and I am thankful I found my way to his practice.
Advanced Periodontal Treatments for Receding Gums and Gum Disease
Protect your teeth and reduce the risk of gum disease with an effective periodontal treatment plan. We offer the following advanced treatments:
Patients with early to moderate gum disease may be great candidates for non-surgical periodontal treatment. This type of treatment focuses on letting the body heal itself after thorough removal of bacterial contaminants with frequent hygiene visits performed over 12 months’ time. With commitment to improved home care, many cases treated this way do not require surgical of intervention.
You may need a bone graft if you have lost a significant amount of bone after gum disease. We may use the autogenous, allograft or xenograft technique to restore lost bone.
Restore the natural contours of your smile and ward off the effects of jaw bone loss with a ridge augmentation or preservation procedure. We can perform a soft or hard tissue augmentation procedure to help you get your beautiful smile back.
Maintain your periodontal health after gum disease with a comprehensive maintenance plan. This may include regular deep cleaning sessions and evaluations for hidden periodontal problems, as well as using prescription-strength products to ward off an infection.
This is a nonsurgical periodontal treatment that can help to reduce pocket depth and improve the overall health of the gums. It involves a deep cleaning below the gum line and polishing the surface of the teeth.
Patients with moderate to advanced periodontal disease may be good candidates for osseous surgery, otherwise known as flap surgery. This procedure works to eliminate periodontal pocketing and is performed under conscious sedation with local anesthesia.

My Dental Implants Fixed My Failing Dental Work And Saved My Smile!
Failing Implant Patient
Dr. Iacobelli was able to place my implants in one visit and helped calm my dental anxiety
I have been with Dr. Iacobelli for at least 30 years. The entire office makes you feel like home.
During the Corona lockdown Dr Mark, and at least three of his staff, opened up the office to affix a crown that had come off. They were all very accommodating during this unusual time. It was not at all difficult to have this handled in a timely manner.
Great experience. I worked the most with Dr. Sala; however, both are great. They went out of their way to accommodate my work schedule and their staff was great. I had gum surgery and was very happy with the final result. Would highly recommend either of them to anyone.
I cannot say better things about this office and staff. My husband started coming here a few months back to begin his dental journey after several years of putting it off. The Dr's and staff made him feel MORE than comfortable, worked with his work schedule, and he literally only had positive things to say! Thank you!!!
